The Danish robotics company OnRobot has raised DKK 185m in connection with an investment round. The investment is made by the Danish Growth Fund, the European Investment Bank (EIB) and several Danish business families.
OnRobot was formed in Odense in 2015 and quickly developed into a leading global supplier of user-friendly robotics grippers and sensor systems for collaborative robots, also known as cobots.
The purpose of the investment is to accelerate the global launch of OnRobot's products.
Today, OnRobot has approx. 180 employees, sales offices in eight countries and more than 380 distributors worldwide.
The joint investment in OnRobot also marks the beginning of a collaboration between the Danish Growth Fund and EIB, which will channel billions of Danish kroner to Danish businesses standing on the threshold of growth.
