Kåre Stolt is one of the partners heading ACCURA's M&A Team.
He advises Danish and international clients on mergers and
acquisitions, including legal due diligence, structuring
considerations, acquisition funding and the drafting of transaction
documents, and he participates in the negotiation of and heads up
the effort in large due diligence processes relating to mergers and
acquisitions. Moreover, he has vast experience with general
corporate and commercial issues and tax law.
He serves a broad range of clients, including management teams in
connection with management buy-outs, private equity funds as well
as industrial and commercial companies. Over the years, he has been
involved in a number of highly profiled M&A deals in the Danish
market, heading the legal team representing the buyer, seller or
bidder in a transaction.
Kåre graduated in law from the University of Copenhagen in 1987. He
then obtained an LLM degree from Duke University's School of Law in
North Carolina, USA. He was admitted to the Danish bar in 1991 and
to practise law before the High Courts in 1991.
Kåre was one of the founders of ACCURA in 1999. Previously, he was
a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers and managing director of
Tellabs Danmark A/S (formerly DSC Communications A/S) from
1995-1997. His professional career began with Per Federspiel Law
Firm (now Gorrissen Federspiel Kierkegaard) where he worked for
several years, first as an assistant attorney and subsequently as
an attorney until 1995.
Teaching and publications
Kåre Stolt has taught at the University of Copenhagen for Advokatsamfundets Serviceselskab A/S and the Institute of State Authorized Public Accountants in Denmark. Also, he has written a number of articles on corporate tax planning and mergers and acquisitions.
