ACCURA Advokatpartnerselskab has assisted as legal advisor in connection with the set-up of Denmark's first social venture fund called "Den Sociale Kapitalfond". In cooperation with TrygFonden and others, ACCURA has participated in the development and strengthening of the social efforts in Denmark through an entirely new type of social venture fund. The capital base of DKK 25m was injected by TrygFonden. The promoter of the fund and the CEO of "Den Sociale Kapitalfond" is Lars Jannick Johansen (former managing director of Ugebrevet Mandag Morgen).
"Den Sociale Kapitalfond" has just completed its first investment in Specialisterne ApS. ACCURA has provided resources and assisted in a legal due diligence and drafting of investment documentation. The business employs consultants with autism and uses their special attentiveness to details to provide a unique quality control of software and hardware for private and public businesses.
Through ACCURA's involvement in "Den Sociale Kapitalfond" and its portfolio companies, we wish to make a positive difference for businesses and entrepreneurs in Denmark with a strong social profile. ACCURA applies its core competences to assist in making a difference for socially vulnerable groups in Denmark. This is perfectly in line with ACCURA's CSR profile and policy.
"Den Sociale Kapitalfond" is inspired by Best Practise within social investments and is moreover based on experiences from Norway, the Netherlands, Great Britain and the USA, etc. The purpose is social first - social results rather than financial results. The investments are made on easier terms, and the fund will not expose entrepreneurs to any unnecessary risks. The general guidelines for the project are mutual respect, openness and patience, which contribute to supporting the social profile of the initiative.
Besides ACCURA, KPMG has participated as a competence partner.
